Tonight in Nottingham sees the biggest gig to date for Knives as they play the main hall of the legendary Rock City venue in support of Californian hard rockers Y&T. Knives formed a short two years ago in 2015, native to Nottingham the line-up comprises of

Playing a live set of punchy, hook-laden songs, the band’s debut EP ‘First Cuts’ appeared in August 2016 ( and is available on iTunes and most digital platforms such as Spotify), combining the power of early Stiff Little Fingers and The Clash with the melodies of Thin Lizzy and The Wildhearts. So you might wonder then why they’re supporting Y&T? Well that is thanks to DHP promoter Amy Lawson to whom the band are very grateful and no doubt gratitude also goes to her Husband, front of house engineer Drew Lawson who not only produced their existing EP but has produced Knives forthcoming EP ‘Fallen Heroes’ due for release this Christmas.
