Witch of the East graces us with the new, fast-paced single “Comfort me”
The track was born out of an interesting experience for Aeris Houlihan, lead singer and guitarist of the trio. During her time in Eastern Europe looking for inspiration for another track, she got exactly that. An unfortunate run-in with a man at a bar who had political connections saw her being thrown in prison on tentative grounds where she would be kept for weeks. The isolation would go on to inspire the new single, and with the repeating hook of “Comfort me, because I’m lonely”, this is certainly clear to see.
“Thankfully she came through the experience stronger and began creating “Comfort Me” while in prison. It is a full on psych banger which gets into your head on first listen.” – With Just A Hint Of Mayhem
