SEN OLETTE

10.30 pm

"Sen Olette is the musical project of British singer, songwriter and producer Mae Monypenny. Formed in 2023, She incorporates elements of Experimental, Avant Garde Alternative Pop & Rock within her music. The name Sen is derived from the Lotus, a nod to starting afresh from the ground up. A self proclaimed vocal chameleon with a love of dramatics, Sen is an experimental powerhouse singer, receiving comparisons to Florence + The Machine, Annie Lennox and many other strong vocalists.

Having a reputation for spell-binding and ethereal live performances, Sen is also known for being able to use nothing but her voice, a mic and a vocal loop-station to build and twist covers of well known songs into captivating new soundscapes that are entirely her own.

Within her project she cites her musical influences as Caroline Polachek , Rina Sawayama, Ethel Cain, Billie Eilish, and Kimbra to name a few.

She says of her art: “Music to me is my outlet. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to express myself. It helps me say things I’d never be able to if I’d tried to speak them as a person on the autistic spectrum.”

She hopes to break down barriers and prove that disability is not a limitation in the music industry With her first album of original music in the works and a Best Live Performance Award win from Youth Music in 2019 under her belt, it won’t be long before the wider world has a chance to delve into the world of Sen Olette."

Her words come from the heart and will leave you inspired with topics such as self-love, self-worth and knowing who you truly are. Her music and poetry take you on a journey of self-realisation and make you reflect on your true inner self and how amazing it is to be you. Davina is a champion of strong, fabulous women leading the way for the young women of today.

'Davina songbird, a Neo Soul, Jazz masterclass from this wonderful vocalist who deserves much more attention as her vocal range leaves other singers breathless. She made everything seem effortless as her powerful soulful voice floated above the bass guitar and drums. Music this early in the day did not make things east for the following artists. A big voice and hopefully a big name soon' - Bassey / Leftlion
