This year celebrating their 25th year anniversary the X-Rays debuted playing barely-in-control, beer soaked, manic noise. Debuting in 1994 supporting the Supersuckers, the next 3 years saw two albums released on Empty Records from Seattle, eleven singles, countless gigs, too much booze, carnage and incarceration.

Having toured the UK supporting the likes of the New Bomb Turks and Gas Huffer, Europe and the US of A, as part of an Empty Records package with the Motards and the Fumes, the X-Rays unceremoniously imploded during the summer of ‘97. A 2002 reunion of the original line-up saw one rehearsal culminate in a gig at the Highbury Garage with old touring partners the New Bomb Turks.

Fast Forward 10 years and the X-Rays are back, meaner, rawer and more pissed than ever.

Snakerattlers, recently signed to Dirty Water Records is a band comprising married couple Dan Oliver Gott and Naomi Gott. It’s a hellbound voyage of deathpunk, rockabilly, country, and traditional greaser rock and roll. Stood up, shook up, dynamic drumming. Reverb-drenched double-amped guitar. Aggressive and sweetly mournful vocals. A screaming, wailing brand new take on the rockabilly genre.

With elements of punk, metal and fuzzed out stoner / psych it’s also an intriguing sound and a really fucking brilliantly loud one. There’s breathtaking riffs and mind-melting rhythm wrapped around a vocal that looks as if it will tear Davies apart at any moment. Together it’s a bone-crushing, soul-soaring petite mort of noise.

Replica Jesus‘ last single Everything Rots (backed with the equally immense Tonight We Play God (Parts 1 & 2) and with a slew of headline shows and support slots planned in 2019 it’s time you made sure you’ve had your being throughly imploded by one of the best noise bands around at the moment.
