WEDNESDAY 22ND MARCH – DOORS OPEN AT 7.00PM.
‘bloody knives are based in Austin, Texas consisting of Preston Maddox (bass, voice, keyboards, samples, programming), Jake McCown (Drums, noise, programming, art) and Jack O’Hara Harris (guitars, noise). The band combines the sounds of heavy punk and industrial with blurry ambient electronics, shoegaze atmospherics, and 8-bit glitches and melodies.’
‘Having travelling through the richest and poorest parts of Asia to the soundtrack of bands such as Nirvana, The Mars Volta, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine and Foals, it became apparent that there was a need to create music with a message. We observed a stark contrast between how happy the people in the east are compared to the western world. Free from our ideologies they rejoice in each other’s company. This is reflected in our whole ethos as a band; To not take things for granted, to push boundaries, to never be satisfied, to always move into the future, to sound like it would in Shinjuku, Future Shinjuku!’
‘Putamen – Post-Punk, indie, darkwave/electronic music for lovers and haters.’
‘Formed in the wintery beginnings of 2016, Hull’s LUMER forged their cryptic post-punk sound playing high octane shows throughout the city, adding a synth to their sound at the turn of autumn and the band are making their mark across other cities.’
