For no other reason than just because we wanted to, here’s a few of the songs we’ve been loving at the moment from across Nottinghamshire. There are loads more obviously but we’d be here for bloody ever if we wrote about all the great stuff happening in the city.

Two of our favorite Nottingham boys HeavyHeads have just released this beauty and it’s been on repeat several times. On the 7th March they’ll be sleeping rough on the streets of Nottingham for the night, handing out food and hot drinks to the homeless whilst raising money with the YMCA ‘Sleep Easy’ campaign. As ya’ll know, we’re promoting Frazer Lowrie’s EP launch on 29th March at The Nottingham Contemporary. His latest single Conquer The World is one of our favorites plus we’re excited to finally see the B Side ‘Midnight In March’ live for the first time!
Our lass Annie (or as her mum calls her, Anywn Williams) did an Acoustic Rooms Session and it’s our favorite song Walking Now. We’ve also decided one of the lines is about us and Annie has humored this theory up until now. And even though we know who this song is about, we can’t tell you. Mysterious ey?
We’ve seen Polly Yates live a couple of times now, but her set on Light Night at The Contemporary really blew us away. She has an insane vocal range and it looks as though it comes as naturally as breathing! Also, insider secret? She’s booked for our next show at The Malt Cross on Thursday 3rd April!
Completely different to anything else we’ve been listening to, is Bru-C. We’re pretty excited about Don’t Flop Nottingham (we genuinely have a bit of an obsession with watching old battle videos) but as of yet, Bru’s opponent is unannounced! Keep an eye out for more details online. We’re also well excited for the release of Kameameha and the launch!
