I’m Not From London celebrates its 15th birthday in the music industry with the release of our own beer, new tracks and videos from our artists, new merch and much, much more!
After 15 years in the music industry INFL has grown and evolved in an ever-changing landscape. At its conception, CDs were still the primary method of selling music, Facebook was just starting, and the majority of people hadn’t even heard of ITunes or Spotify. Now, the music industry is largely embedded in the digital world and music itself has progressed in so many different ways. It would be an understatement to say that, as a label, we haven’t changed to a similar degree. From being a label led solely by Will Robinson which only represented a handful of bands, the label has grown exponentially, bringing on board new members, new artists and approaching our 40th release. Of course, there has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears put into the work that we love but we have enjoyed every last second of it and we hope you have to. We don’t plan on stopping and look forward to another 15 years of fun and hard work!
To celebrate our 15th birthday we have partnered with a local Nottingham brewery, Black Iris Brewery, to launch our very own I’m Not From London Ale. After all, what accompanies music better than beer? The design on the can, created by artist Dewayne, features imagery inspired by the cult film, “Withnail and I”, whose influence led to the very name of our label. The label on the reverse of each can will also feature an INFL band profile and free music download. We will also be releasing seven new tracks and videos from artists on the label so you won’t by any means have a shortage of great music!
We’re accompanying this with a T Shirt designed by the Dewayne, and clocks and coasters bearing INFL album covers designed by designer “Livan”, both based on “Withnail and I”, along with selection of I’m Not From London music and merch with it all. We’ve also made a commemorative book, 15 years of I’m Not From London, with our good friends from Leftlion who offered to produce, design and compile some of the best posters, photos and anecdotes from friends and crew from over the years. This will really give you an insight into our label and its exciting history.
All of these items will be available as rewards for donations to our Crowdfunder so head over to it here. The more you donate the better the rewards are!
We hope you like the ale, our campaign and thank you from the bottom our hearts everyone who has supported us so far,
Love from all at I’m Not From London x
