“In my first week of internship with I’m Not From London I was privileged enough to help out at a socially distanced filmed performance/ gig for the labels’ 15th birthday on the 23rd august 2020 at The Golden Fleece pub’s rooftop terrace in Nottingham.
Managing director Will Robinson gave me the pre gig instructions to print off a limited guest list for when I got to the venue, film and take photos of the night and generally help out with the band’s Unknown Era who were performing with their scar and reggae beats.
At first, I was nervous as it was 9 months since I helped to run a gig as a creative music technology student in Manchester but when I got there everyone was very welcoming and set me jobs throughout the night starting with setting up the band’s merch area with the posters and t-shirts on display. Once me and Label rep Leanne ticked off all the guests who were booked in, we closed the door entry and let the gig get into full swing monitoring social distancing and people coming in and out. I took pictures and videos and people were thoroughly enjoying themselves as we all were finally getting back to some sort of normality dancing away to the band.
Overall, the night was a great success and was a fantastic start to my internship career with I’m not from London and I can’t wait for the next tasks and projects coming my way in the near future.
Here’s to the next 15 years for INFL!”
