Starting out 2018 with a UK Top 20 hit album, The Slow Readers Club have blown their fans out of the water – with tours in iconic venues, festival slots across the UK and tracks to get you bopping. Nottingham first recognised the Manchester based band when they supported James on their Girl At The End Of The World tour back in 2016. With them headlining festivals such as Dot To Dot last year and Soundcity, the 2018 edition, these men are an unstoppable force of talent. A clear vision of what they want their music to sound like and being blissfully unaware of their dominating stage presence, The Slow Readers Club have their feet on the ground and take every day as it comes – even if it is a tad more exciting than most people’s everyday lives. Normal, nice and musically gifted, they have blurred the boundaries of what is the ‘typical’ and tiresome modern day rock band.
We managed to grab a chat with The Slow Readers Club at their Rock City date on their ‘Build A Tower’ tour 2018.
