Featuring Karabo - An Unstoppable Force Releases Emotive Track ‘Only 4 U’
Digital drums, layered keys and a warm bassline anchor 'Only 4 U', the new single from South African artist Karabo.
A single marking the next step in his push towards international audiences following the release of his third studio album, Songs About You.
Karabo first rose to national prominence as the winner of Idols South Africa Season 11, going on to share stages with Grammy-nominated artist Anthony Hamilton and collaborate with Grammy-winning gospel and soul icon Bebe Winans. He also made history as the first African artist to create a theme song for Disney Africa's The Lion Guard. Now independent, Karabo continues to build on a successful radio tour through his home province of Mpumalanga, bringing his sound to UK, US and international audiences with 'Only 4 U'.
Produced by Tinashe, with writing from Tineke, the track was built from an instrumental that immediately struck the pair, and that instinctive connection carries through the finished song. Karabo's voice, long defined by its soulful, storytelling quality, sits at the centre of a track about complete emotional openness.
"It also describes the kind of love I have for my significant other," he explains, "furthermore it speaks to how loyal I am to them, and the commitment we have established in our relationship over time."
'Only 4 U' arrives as Karabo pushes further into international territory, following a UK, US-facing chapter that builds on the success of Songs About You and lead single 'Safe', which has already found a home on Mzansi Soul.
